1. Acceptance
These Terms of Use govern your use of securetaxexperts.com or our landing page at securetaxpartners.com (together, the "Site"), operated by Secure Tax Experts, LLC ("Secure Tax Experts," "we," "us"). By using the Site or submitting a form, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
2. About our services
Secure Tax Experts is a private company that provides tax resolution, representation and tax preparation services. We are not the IRS or any government agency. Any service you receive from us is governed by a separate written engagement agreement. Submitting a form or speaking with us does not create a client relationship until that agreement is signed.
3. No advice from this Site
Content on the Site is general information. It is not legal, tax or financial advice for your situation and should not be relied on as such.
4. No guaranteed results
Resolution options such as Offers in Compromise, installment agreements, penalty abatement and currently-not-collectible status are decided by the IRS or state taxing authority based on your finances and history. We do not guarantee that any balance will be reduced or removed, that any proposal will be accepted, or that any result will be achieved within any time frame.
5. Fees
Consultations are free. Fees for paid services, and any refund terms, are set out in your written engagement agreement before work begins. Our fees are separate from any amount you owe a taxing authority.
6. Communications and text messages
By submitting your contact information, you agree that we may contact you by phone and email about your request. We send text messages only if you opt in. Text messaging is governed by our SMS Terms, which are part of these Terms. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Consent to texts is not a condition of purchase.
7. Use of the Site
You agree to provide accurate information, to submit information only about yourself or someone you are authorized to act for, and not to misuse the Site, interfere with its operation or attempt to access it without authorization.
8. Intellectual property
The Site's content, design, name and logo belong to Secure Tax Experts, LLC and may not be copied or reused without our written permission.
9. Third-party links
The Site may link to other websites, such as IRS.gov. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
The Site is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Secure Tax Experts, LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site. This section does not limit any rights you have under a signed engagement agreement or that cannot be limited by law.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve any concern informally.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms. The effective date above shows when they last changed.
